The 1975

April 30, 2017

Due to phenomenal demand, Brit band The 1975 have extended their tour, with brand new dates. The indie four-piece encapsulate all the joy, heartbreak and hate of growing up in their 90-esque electro pop sound, with their breakthrough album I Like it When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet Unaware Of It sounding like a long lost soundtrack to a John Hughes movie.

Emerging into the British rock scene of the early 90s like a hurricane, Polly Jean Harvey set about taking names and kicking ass. Released in 2016, her latest album The Hope Six Demolition Project is a politically-minded effort, drawing on subjects as diverse as public housing in the US to the troubled history of Kosovo.

The California-based indie rockers Young the Giant continue their tour into 2017, in support of their third studio album Home of the Strange. First coming to widespread prominence in 2010, their debut album was recorded old-school style, with a focus on only recording material that they could faithfully recreate for a live audience.

Thrash metal giants Slayer have never been afraid of generating controversy, their music taking in one taboo subject after another, but they're also undoubtedly one of the genre's most important acts. The band emerged in the late 80, and with Tom Araya leading the line on vocals, they haven't let up since. Joining Slayer on this tour are fellow modern metal greats Lamb of God, who have announced they'll take a long hiatus following these dates.
