Absolutely Delightful!

I love the movie with Meryl Streep so was hesitant to see this production, but when my daughter invited me I said YES! And I am so glad I went. What a funny, sexy, dynamic production. Loved all the acting, the dancing, the singing. Great comedy at times, not in the movie. Powerhouse lead "Donna" and other great vocalists too. Definitely female empowerment. Clever stage setting. The crowd was completely captivated and enthusiastic. Truly an exciting fun night - not to be missed!

Better than the Traveling Broadway version

I saw the traveling Broadway version many years ago and this one is better. Some of the choreography is incredibly clever. Donna and her two friends, Rosie and Tanya, steal the show. Their voices are absolutely incredible and their routines had the whole audience standing, waving their arms, and whooping with pure joy. It was incredible to be swept away by such happiness. The three male leads weren't as strong as the three female leads, but they had much less important roles, so that was okay. Afterall, the most they did was provide sperm and then disappear! So, maybe this is why the three women always featured in the billboards are the three middle-aged women. Yea Baby! This show also highlights how much fabulous talent there is in Seattle. Only a few actors came from other cities. I was blown away.

WE LOVED THIS PRODUCTION!

I’m not sure what’s up with some of the man-hating reviews here, but we all loved this show, and thought the men did a great job! Yes, the focus of the show is naturally on Sophie and her two friends – and they were great -- but in no way were the male leads inferior to the women. They each brought a fresh approach, a new interpretation to their characters. Someone else described the choreography as ‘a bit high-school amateurish’. Really? It’s comments like this that makes me wonder if they saw the same show. The choreography was fresh, with dancers and leads interweaving in a series very intricate patterns…hardly ‘amateurish’. And lastly, someone else asked why did the men get the final bows when the show was mainly about the women? I don’t know, but I look at it as a symbolic tribute to the women’s influence on them. It was definitely one of the highlights of a great show, a show that we’ll remember for a long time!

Absolutely captivating

I took my wife, step daughter and her boyfriend to the show tonight and I have to say that, although I am not what one would call "big into musicals," this play combines good music, good humor and even s little raw emotion. The actors singing voices were phenomenal and the music arrangement and band were superb! While o can't mention everyone, a few notable performances were; Eliza Palasz as Sophie Sheridan, beautifully captures the essence of a young woman finding her way in the world; Kendra Kassebaum as Donna Sheridan powerfully portrays the woman of all trades, the mother dealing with the emotions of her daughter going into the world and getting married so young, the independent business owner trying so hard to keep it all going and the the lady attempting to suddenly make peace with her past; and finally, Matt Wolfe as Bill Austin, this man's comedic timing and styling deliver laugh after laugh that will almost have you in tears. I highly recommend anyone to see this show!

I had seen the Broadway touring show a few years ago and found this one to be superior. The production seemed more vibrant and the audience was really engaged, whooping and hollering, singing along to the larger group numbers. The singing was top notch, the laughs abundant, and the energy level high. Rosie and Bill were hilarious together. And Sophie’s voice was absolutely beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have encouraged friends to try to get down to see it before it closes. I definitely think kids - maybe 8 and up - would love it. We had lunch at Palomino before the matinee and it was very good. For out-of-towners, there is a lot to do and see downtown.

I thought this play was amazing. The cast was on point and kept my attention. I enjoyed how they changed different parts of the play like the little silly comments. I have seen this play many times and it never disappoints me. I thought that every character did an excellent job with there roll and played there part well.
