Great to have John in Chicago

5/5
Vivian M from Chicago, Illinois

John was true to form, candid, funny and entertaining. The moderator was good and set a relaxed mood. Brave of John to provide an open mic to the crowd for questions - there were definitely a few folks who wanted to hear themselves talk, but we heard from a neighbor who was 5 when they shot the scene by the bus stop in the rain…very funny.

Definatly Worth It

John Cusack was everything and more than I expected. Very open, honest, candid, funny, intelligent. If you are a fan, this is a must see. Much respect for him and his career.

For John, 5 Stars, for Moderator, 2 Stars

John was open, friendly and extremely personable to everyone who asked a question. He's an outgoing person, highly intelligent and loves his craft. The moderator was a little too fan-boy and intimidated at the beginning, but improved as we went along. I've never been to this type of event but I'm so glad I went. I very much enjoyed it. Some very cringe things were said to John unfortunately, and not everyone behaved appropriately but people are people and I'm sure John's had to endure worse. John, please return to Tacoma. We'd love to do this again some time!

Left Before The End

The movie screening was good. The moderator was also good. The venue could have used the large movie screen to project the interview for those of us not in the first 10 rows. John held the microphone in his lap and spoke with his left hand over his mouth so you could barely hear him. He needs to ditch the ball cap. Fans wait years to see him and he hides behind a hat. We left when he began to field questions from the audience. Couldn't take it any more. What a bummer...

Disappointed

The blowhard annoying DJ who interviewed John after the movie was terrible and ruined the entire experience. He just wanted to listen to himself talk and asked irrelevant questions and then proceeded to have a personal conversation, to interject things about himself, and to drone on endlessly about nothing anyone wanted to hear. The audience questions were almost as bad. Audience members stood up there and asked him to read a screenplay, fawned over how much they adored him, and with the exception of 2 people asked dumb irrelevant questions. No one asked him what projects he was working on now or really anything of interest. We left before it was over. Paid $54 a ticket to watch a movie from 1985 and listen to some NJ radio DJ bloviate about nothing. To top it all off he wore a baseball cap the entire time and you couldn't even see his face. Terrible.

I'll have to say I was completely disappointed with this Q&A with John Cusack. Don't get me wrong I was super excited to go I even canceled more plans when he rescheduled for the 21st of October. Most of the audience that one up or comments instead of questions and the questions they asked were more dodged then answered. We paid $150 a person for a photo with him with a baseball hat on and you're really shoddy backdrop. And now I have to download it. I would never suggest this to anybody it was very disappointing I was really super excited to go to this and to meet him but again at your second picture to be rushed out for the amount of money we paid was not worth it.
