A film screening with a difference of the 60s family favorite The Sound of Music comes to 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle in vibrant technicolor. The event encourages guests to sing aloud to the movie soundtrack by including subtitles for everyone to sing along to, while giving them a fully interactive experience by providing a costume contest as well as audience participation fun packs.
The film is a musical based on the real life story of the Von Trapp Family singers and their memoir, written in 1949 by Maria Augusta von Trapp, the stepmother of the singers. In the movie, protagonist Maria applies to be the new governess of Navy captain Georg von Trapp's seven mischievous children. Eventually Maria is loved by the children when she brings joy and lively music into their lives with hits like 'Maria,' 'My Favorite Things' and 'Do-Re-Mi.'
