Brahms and Schumann

Seattle Symphony invites you to share an evening with Brahms and Schumann. Both composers are of such rare class, the ability to capture both vulnerability and clarity in a piece of music has astounded many for generations.

Brahms Chamber music was unable to be matched, especially in his Clarinet Quintet which was written in 1891 and is still celebrated in this modern age. Schumann's First Piano Trio, which emits intimacy in an intensely romantic style, is in the same class as Brahms.
