Seattle Symphony - Brahms Untuxed

Seattle Symphony - Brahms Untuxed at Benaroya Hall

Why see Seattle Symphony - Brahms Untuxed?

A No-Frills Untuxed Concert Featuring the work of Brahms

The Seattle Symphony Orchestra's Untuxed series is perfect for those who wish to hear the works of legendary composers without the frills and fuss of a classical concert. Danish conductor Thomas Dausgaard returns to lead a program of German Romantic composer Johannes Brahms' best loved works, without intermission, pomp and ceremony.

The program consists of Brahms' Hungarian Dances No. 1, No. 3 and No. 10, rounding things off with his Symphony No. 2. A rousing work filled to the brim with the composer's trademark wistful melodies, harmonic warmth and boundless optimism, the symphony is augmented by the relaxed Untuxed atmosphere where the orchestra wears comfy clothes (rather than the stiff tuxes and dresses of a normal concert).
