Thomas Duasguaard Conducts Brahmns

Warm the cockles this winter with a programme filled with the lilting, life-affirming melodies of Brahms, brought to you by the world renowned Seattle Symphony Orchestra. Led by Danish guest conductor Thomas Dausguaard, the SSO will perform some of the German romantic era composer's most beloved works, including the bill's crowning glory Symphony No.2.

The music of Johannes Brahms appears to divide listeners, dividing listeners into fervent admirers or conscientious objectors. He may shy away from the frivolous and sentimental, yet his direct communication has won over audiences with its emotional depth and brilliant technical construction. His Symphony No.2, a work filled with warmth, optimism and lush melodies is the perfect way to round off the evening.
