Homeward Bound - The Farewell Tour

One of modern music's true founding fathers, Simon found worldwide fame in the 1960s as one half of the folk duo Simon and Garfunkel. While his relationship with bandmate Art Garfunkel produced classic after classic, from 'The Sound of Silence' to 'Bridge over Troubled Water', it was also famously fraught, and it was only a matter of time before they went their separate ways. Simon's solo career presented him with a second wind in the 1980s when he became the de facto figurehead of the World music movement, collaborating with a host of African musicians on his iconic album Graceland.

Having announced his retirement from touring in February 2018, catch Simon as he heads on his final dates on the road as part of his Homeward Bound tour. Sure to include some of his finest solo work including Graceland and Still Crazy After All These Years alongside deep cuts and hits from the Simon and Garfunkel years, this opportunity is a true treat for fans and the perfect way to bid him farewell as he moves onto to pastures new!

Homeward Bound Tour

Saw Simon and Garfunkel in 2003 here in Boston and thought that this performance couldn't match that one. Thinking that a 70+ singer couldn't hit the notes he once did, and also thinking it would be a short unenthusiastic Paul...I was wrong on all counts and very pleasantly surprised. Terrific show. Terrific back up musicians. I hope his last stop on his Homeward Bound Tour is his own New York, and that it is filmed and shown on PBS next year. ... Read more

Thank you Paul!! A concert to remember.

We knew going into the concert that we would not be able to hear all of his greatest songs, just hoping to hear as many songs from Bridge Over Troubled Waters and secretly hoping for specific songs like Frank Lloyd Wright, Cecilia, I am a Rock among others while knowing that I would hear The Sounds of Silence, Graceland and The Boxer. The musicians were tight and right on beat, always watching the expert directions to further enhance the music. My only regret is that it took over 53 years to see and hear the talent of Paul Simon. I figure that if your biggest regret about going to a concert is/was that you wish it could be longer or see them perform again and again then you have nothing to complain about, only praise to be given to the talent, the skills, the humanity and all around good people/ person. Thank you again, Paul for an unforgetable evening! ... Read more

Even better than the Philadelphia concert

I am an admited groupie. I saw him and his band in Philadelphia in June. My friend and I both agree that the DC performance was better than the one in Philadelphia. Several reasons. The DC crowd was much better behaved. More importantly, the band has become tighter and Ymusic much more integrated with the other musicians. The performance of "Rene and Georgia Magritte. . . " seemed disjoined in Philadelphia while it was beyond lovely in DC. The only downside was that the acoustics in DC were a notch below the acoustics in Philadelphia. I have heard Paul Simon in concert many times going back to my days as a student at the University of Pennsylvania (College '70). He never disappoints. ... Read more
