Kick off your Fall with the Pacific Northwest Ballet's production of Petite Mort. Opening the theater's 2023/2024 season, the triple bill promises a playful evening of wonder and mastery. The show features the three ballet pieces of Petit Mort and Sechs Tanze, by Jiri Kylian, and Alexander Ekman's Cacti. They will be accompanied by the music of composers Mozart and Schubert and promises to be a night to remember!
Jyri Kylian is a Czech dancer and choreographer, born to a dancer mother and a banker father. His family instilled in him a love of performance, and he first attended acrobatics school and went on to become a multi-talented artist at a young age. Alexander Ekman is a Swedish choreographer, ballet dancer, set designer, and composer whose works have been performed across the world.
